The Fool, was born from GINIFICENT, a theatre productions company based in Southport. With over 25 years of experience in creating theatrical wonders,

The Fool is all about celebrating creativity and spontaneity!

Our adventure began in 1999 when we formed Tiny Giants Productions LTD, a Theatre in Education company, within four years we were touring to around 1,600 schools each year with our theatrical escapades. In 2008, we transformed an old warehouse which was our rehearsal space into the Lantern Theatre in Liverpool, giving budding artists and community groups a vibrant stage to shine on.

 

After making a creative home in Southport in 2014, we became GINIFICENT. Although we continued to tour the UK with issue-based plays we began to bring our reimagined classics, including our beloved A Christmas Carol and Jekyll & Hyde to the main stage as well as pushing our original plays such as The Haunting of Greenacre Cottage.

Then came the pandemic—cue the drama! As our stages fell silent, we stepped into filmmaking.  Thanks to Arts Council England we filmed Jekyll and Hyde in 2020, this was specifically designed to support GCSE English. 

 

So here we are in 2024, we have opened a new chapter and dived into the unknown. Enter The Fool! This year is about shaking things up and bringing immersive experiences that tickle your senses and ignite your creativity.

At The Fool, we bring you to a delightful mix of music and immersive theatre dining experiences, plus a of creative arts programs for all ages.

 

As a not-for-profit company, every penny we earn goes straight back into nurturing the arts in Southport and dreaming up exciting new projects.
